I thought I wanted to go for a walk so
I tried. After about 2 hours though, (and
one fence post topper :BangHead: ), I just headed
for the car. :dontknow:

Just wasn't up to it, I guess. :dontknow:

The Whole Wheat toast was OTWBTTC, '27 :dontknow:

This was actually found quite a while ago but I like
to bring it out on this day as a reminder.

Hope your day was better.

Thanks for peeking!

Oh I don't know Whadifind, beats a poke in the eye with a sharp stick. You got to dig a few holes. Like the remembrance of Pearl Harbor!

Hey buddy. You got toasted Wheat! That's a keeper and with my ground ready to freeze up on me I would be darn happy with that. I do remember June 6, 1944 and December 7, 1941 every year. Not many of these old soldiers left with us. God bless each and every one who sacrificed much and those who gave the ultimate sacrifice. Peace.:icon_salut:

I know what you mean. My father passed away just a couple years ago. He was on the beach at Normandy. He would've been 99 years old this year. That seems like a very long life. But, it's also a VERY long time for one to live with memories of that beach! :(

Thanks!

Whadi, I have dug so many of those fence post toppers, with them sounding so delicious in the headphones and banging in the high 80' and low 90's on the VDI, curse them all! Lol. Glad you got out to dig. I have only been able to get out once a week for months now, ugh. Maybe visit your mansion??? Wish me luck on Sunday! Happy Hunting, Sub 8-)

Sometimes those detecting walks are not so much about what we find in the ground.
Maybe you were the highlight of someones day and didn't know it.
A toasted wheat is still a great find.
That fence topper looks almost new, somebody had just given it a coat of green paint.
Bet it knows a few secrets.

The ground here now has a coating of snow, i'm hoping it melts. The batteries are still in my detector, i just don't want to take them out yet. Maybe i can make it out detecting at lest once before the ground freezes solid, and heart along with it.

Well Whadi,, at least you got out. If I want to hunt, I'm going to have to take to the woods. Everywhere else is covered with snow and the ground is nearly frozen.
Congratulations on your finds.
