I know we all hate digging cans but this morning my view changed. Dug this Baltimore Colts can “The Colt”. Guessing it to be 1960’s or early 70’s due to old logo and had to be opened with bottle opener. I did have my Colts gloves on when I dug this.

Has anyone else found a keeper can? Post it here if you have

Go Baltimore Colts! My childhood hero’s Johnny U John Mackie Art Donavan etc

That is a really nice old beer can. I collected them when I was a kid.

Pull tabs started around 1965.

Sometimes when working on the car you had to make sure that the can opener didn’t contain any oil from when you
Had opened a quart can of oil before opening your beer.

Congrats on your beer can find. I loved the Colts when I was a kid. That can was opened with can opener that we used to call a "Church Key"

I don't have a photo of it, but I did dig up a flattened Billy Beer can a few years ago.

It's old and in very good condition. Plus it was opened with a "church key" or can opener. Not the pop-top openers that we have had on cans over 50 years.

No real value, but fun to show-and-tell.

Hamms beer. The beer my late grand mother drank and the first beer I ever drank. I snatched one from granny! Loved finding this old can in very good condition considering how long it sat along this river bank dump sight. Cool can mate!:occasion14:
