Been hitting this site hard since popping a 1/2 cut cob in rough shape. Is a pre 1713 treaty of Utrecht French colonial site with later British finds mixed in. It's a salt water beach so most finds are in rough shape, but I keep going back lol. 228 musket balls and lead shot, a ton of lead, and broken pipes. Silver spoon, nice French buckle, 5 liard de France, double turnois, nice British navy button that must of just eroded on the beach. Interesting find is coconut husk, def not native to the area, any ideas why it would be there?

Great selection of finds, liking the buckle. The old saying lead is your friend but it seems to be a tad much at your site. Lots of activity there that's for sure.

the husk might have been used as packing material for something probably coming out of the West Indies. More than likely spices or rum

Coconuts float all over the world, and sprout where the climate is right (not in Canada).

Wow! That looks like a site where dreams are made. You can never get everything no matter how hard you detect, so I hope you continue finding killer relics.

coconut husk must have floated over from oak island ( it was used to pack the ark of the covenant)

WHOA! You got quite the workout plucking all those targets from the dirt. Some very nice old relics for sure though. Must have been fun raking all that in.:headbang:
