I like this find and much more rare than the average GW Inaugural button too. One of the best early American finds I've seen on here in a long long time.

Wow, what. Big time congrats! I don't know loads about colonial relics but I'll vote banner because of the rarity of this item!

Epic find CD. Such a small item, such a big impact. Wow.

Just old cufflinks are ultra neat to find but those are something special. Congrats on the banner find!

thanks I will be looking for the other part... I'm not in that Washington club YET!
It would really be something if you found one of these next. They are also very rare, but I know of two that were found in SC, plus one that was found in MD and this one I dug in PA. Note the drilled eye wedge shank. I have only found one other cufflink with this shank, which proves it was cast and not stamped with an applied shank. I consider this my greatest find.

Congrats on a super find. That sure made banner fast but well deserving. Gotta ask - you going to sell it? I can't believe what the potential value of that little booger is!

My My, what has occurred in a few short hours?!???? Having read through all the replies to this amazing thread I am flabbergasted at the significance of that little brass GEM you plucked from the earth! Once again the T-net CREW comes through with the positive ID and substantiates this truly incredible and extremely RARE find of EPIC proportions. :icon_salut: Well done Creskol mate! :icon_thumright:

Now as far as our beloved calabash digger is concerned with his "downward" detecting career upon the apprehension of this epic John Adams gem cufflink recovery, NAH! I believe this find will only validate what we already know here on T-net, that you my friend CD are a tried and true honest to goodness treasure hunter with a pedigree supported by your consistently cool historic finds. I am so pleased to know a wonderful guy, who I truly enjoy to witness in the posts and videos, has captured such a rare relic. Stay humble mate. We wouldn't want this to go to your head! LOL!:laughing9: Ya'll don't mind me living vicariously through you and this amazing recovery do ya'? "HEY, I know this guy called calabash digger! He found the COOLEST little brass cuff link EVER! YEAH, John Adams and only 10 known to EXIST!!!" WOO HOO!!!:icon_salut:
