Hi guys.
Because of the great results with Deus on both old sites that I have been searching with Garret, yesterday I decided to research one of my first sites. I have searched twice with at pro there, 5x8 coil bringing home one silver Drachm and one silver Denarius.

Getting there

I spent two hours finding almost nothing then deus was screaming in my ears. I thought about a can and ignored it. I took two steps forward but I turned back.
This beautiful Follis came out. This was the one that showed me which way to go.

After the first three other follis cane out. It was already time for lunch and I stopped to eat something. Just two meters from were I was laying I had a little surprise. First i thought it was the beer. :tongue3:

Probably a late Roman or Byzantine.

This site was great because of the diversity of the coins. Roman, Byzantine, Greek and maybe even Ottoman's on the same soil. Bronze, silver and gold all together.

Justinian I, 527-65 AD, bronze follis, SB-207, bust facing / M, CON year XXIIII,
Justinian I, a follis of the type listed in the Sear Byzantine catalogue as number 168. "ANNO XIIII" is the date, the 14th year of the emperor's reign (AD 540-541). The obverse inscription is actually supposed to say "DN IVSTINIANVS PF AVG", though by the time this emperor came to power hardly anyone in the Empire could speak Latin anymore, including the people who made the coins, so the legends tend to get a bit mixed up

Probably:
Roman emperor Antonius Pius (138-161 A.D.), depicted on ancient Roman coin (bronze, denom/type: As) (As. Obverse: ANTONIUS AVG PIUS PP. Reverse: TR POT COS II SC PAX (exergue). PAX stg left., holding branch and cornucopiae.)

It was a very hard day but for sure was worth it. This time I had more quality than quantity.
Thanks for watching. :headbang:

Fantastic finds! Just as a few other folks have stated, I would go back and start digging all of those signals. Judging from the amazing relics you have found already, chances are high there's much more to be found at those sites. Thanks for sharing what you have found so far and good luck on finding more.

Thanks mate!
I always think of making a short clip from my research to share it with you guys. But when im there I decide to do it the next time. :BangHead:
I have to share a short clip with you to show all the different sounds that I have so maybe you can help me with them.Honestly, digging all the signals for me is impossible.

On sites like that its a process. I've been on sites where every swing is 10 signals (mostly nails). I don't dig 10 holes to begin with, I clear all the good signals & some of the bad ones. As time goes on, & the better signals have gone & all the BIG iron is cleared, I then start on the small iron & so on until pretty much nothing. This can easily be a 10 year process.

With a little help from my friend Don the next ID is:
Description: Macedonia, Amphipolis, 187 - 31 BC. Head of Apollo (or Demeter) right / AMΦIΠO-ΛITΩN; stalk of grain, monogram.
Diameter: AE15 mm
Weight: 3,92 gr
History: The city's name ("around the city") probably comes from the topography with the river Strymon nearly surrounding the city.

Yeap, that's why this should have made banner by now. Shame many will never know how hard this would be to repeat.

It would be nice. After two years, finally, i found a gold ring and very nice coins, so for me it was a banner day. Anyway, i have the coins
