Howdy all,

After work I scouted a church across from my work that looked promising. Unfortunately, it’s an awful part of town and I had several people make me feel uncomfortable so from now on I will only be going early morning. Found several copper memorials, a clad quarter but my best signal suddenly came in at 11-44 and was several inches deeper than the other coins at 5 inches. It was only a 1960-D memorial but after digging it only half a foot away was a sweet 11-46 at the same depth which ended up being a 1953 Rosie!! I will be returning but it won’t be right before dark again! Oh yeah, found an Aladdin’s palace token as well, I don’t think it’s old.

Nice finds, a little while back I was looking through some things at my mom’s childhood home and found an Aladdin’s Castle token like that

Nice job KS! Didn't you say your goal was like 12 silvers this year? You are going to blow that out of the water!!

Well done. I find that the “sketchy” people sleep in. If I go somewhere like that, I do it early in the AM. Another tip is to wear a reflective vest or hi visibility shirt... if people think you are working, they are less likely to take interest in you. Sketchy people are scared of work!

Best of luck to you.

I do a lot of early morning hunts, people that are up tend to be in a hurry.

As the sergeant used to say on Hill Street Blues... "Be safe out there!" Sounds like a good situation to have a buddy with you, preferably a heavily armed one. I hope your new site gives up some more great finds.

Nice finds. I agree. I do 99 % of my hunting in the very early morning. Mostly just because I am a morning person. I have hunted areas where I am leaving at noon, just as other hobbyists are coming out to start. If I'm hunting fields or parks, I usually start between 6 and 7 a.m. Private yards wait until 9, or whenever the owner says its ok. Your Aladdins Castle token is a game room token from the 1980's. Nice finds.

Well, if anyone is in Birmingham, I’d be more than happy to take them out to a couple places! I’m not guaranteeing silver but I guarantee I’m taking you to places I’ve found silver and definitely have not hunted out.
