From the land of the Bluenose......well had my first interview for the new job and hopefully I'll get the second. Found I had a nice ace in the hole as I knew one of the interviewers so time will tell. One of the benifits of this job at Dalhousie University is that family gets 50% off tuition and with my daughter thinking about attending a university this would be great!

The stress had mounted on this bouy who was taxed to the limit so the cure was at hand as I had preplanned to go on a combo dig at a local beach after the interview with the digging bag topped off with all the supplies a man on the dig needs.

At least here all I had to worry about was being run over by a rugrat, a Sea King Helicopter falling on my head (man they have had a lot of mishaps with that chopper) or the "Tarten Lobster" which I managed to get a photo as it was flying out to the UK on Zoom Airlines. National Enquirer wanted to buy it from me but I'm a holding out for a case of Bud.

Well the land portion of the dig produced a few pennies and two dinkies in the sandy area as well as numerous questions that we have all fielded a zillion times before. Only answered the kids that had good looking mothers nearby (know Marie will comment on that remark but the old saying holds true me bouy....doesn't matter where a bouy gets his appetite as long as he only eats at home.)

Thought a tactical retreat was in order with the heat intensifying so I headed back to Otto and donned the appropriate paraphernalia. Man was the water warm! Had done this lake about two weeks ago and most of the coins that ended up in my sieve were pretty "fresh"

Was one with my Seahunter. Hit a nice solid signal (run all my detectors on land or water on no discrimination) that turned up a rather neat find and fitting as out troops are overseas.

Anyway the lifeguards were at the end of their tour of duty as was I and headed home saying a little prayer on the way that I would get to the next stage of interviews for the job. Take for the day was 2 dinkies, kid's toe ring, 5 earrings, the army pogg thingy and 24 coins @ $11.18

Had the camera at work the other day and added a few photos of planes to my growing collection.
