    Nice write up on the history of the rivet and giving it credit that most would have just passed on looking up the history. Well done on both the recovery and the write up.

    Hey TOM Love the effort but that price is for the whole pair of pants and also the oldest pair of Levi's known to be in existence. Levi Strauss actually purchased these back to put in their museum.
    It would be glorious to find a pair older than this pair as Levi would HAVE to buy them from you so they could still say they had the oldest pair Start going through your attics people!

    This is the coolest digging story I've read all year. Those early Levi's rivets are fantastic historical treasures. Congratulations on digging them!
