This was two seperate hunts.

I was able to get out a couple days ago for a nice hunt. Was a little longer than usual which was nice! During that outing I hit a turn of the century home I hunted once before. That spot gave up a nice modern clad spill, a mangled silver Rosie, a few wheats and some kind of broach plus a very nice 1880 IHP! Went to a field and then dug a couple musket balls and buttons after that to end the day.

This evening after Hell......I mean work it was off to my go to spot after it rains.

Ive dug a few coppers here before and ended up with another 10" deep one today. It's pretty wiped but I think it's a large cent with a left facing bust. Shortly after I got a bouncy but coin like signal and pulled out my first shield nickel! It was mixed in with iron. Last hole of the evening was a broken two piece button. Having lots of fun so far this year! I don't want to admit it but I think I whacked the Rosie with my shovel last time I was at the old permission last season. Been smacking lots of targets.....need to be a little more careful...

Wish everyone GL and HH!

Thank you. Was strange. It was actually folded up like a taco when I dug it out. Rang up like a zinc penny.

Very nice collection of finds HighVDI. Its always a treat when you can find a shield nickel.

And that's a treat I've yet tasted and still waiting for.

Just getting out in the field after doing your time in the salt mine is wonderful. Being able to dig anything is still therapy for me. Finding old keeper targets is like a boost in vitamins for my soul. Cool old stuff always brings a smile to my mug. You are blessed my friend. Good hunting.

Thanks Loco! I actually took it off after using a couple times. Was at an older site and it seems it will take a learning curve. I think it's going back on next time I clad hunt to get the feel for it.
