Hello everyone, so me and my son went to a field in town where we have permission and I started the day off with silver. Then I pulled up the skeleton key a few wheats and some misc. Then my son shows up his Dad by digging a small crotell bell then a beautiful 2 cent piece. Towards the end of the hunt I found the star which from what I can tell was for the celebration in Cincinnati which was for the Civil war veterans it says 32nd Natl Encampment if any one has a little more information on the piece let me know I would appreciate it. It is a little toasty. The police also showed up during our hunt but the officer was very nice and we were polite I am sure it was just the neighbor looking out for the other neighbor and since we had permission that went well. The officer was interested in the finds then got called to a accident and left. So anyways for a 4 hour hunt thing went great. Had some fun with my son we threw our bags of trash away(yes we dig lots of trash). Hope you all were able to get out it was chilly here and my nose ran the whole time but next weekend looks to be warmer and sunny, YAY. Lol. It was fun anyways. Enjoy.

Anytime we are able to get out we are all winners besides it was my son who found those 2 items they are still on my bucket list lol. I have never found a whole bell or a 2 center but thanks Truth1253 also someone said on that medal there should be a number I could track to the original owner then I would have a name and possibly be able to track down a descendant and return it to their family, how awesome would that be but what number and how do I use that to track them down? It is a little toasty but I think that would be so fantastic to return to the family.

Now that would be incredible the family would be in awe. Iโ€™m glad you and your boy got a chance to get out and let him know I had to break down an buy my 2 center and crotal bell. Keep us informed on what goes on with that medal. Thanks for sharing your finds my friend.
