Rev War HOLY GRAIL/heart breaker

Found parts of the HOLY GRAIL...talk about having all emotions at once, excitement of realizing what you have in your hands and heartbreaking, knowing it's in pieces....As Don Troiani mentions in his book Insignia of independence : military buttons, accoutrement plates & gorgets of the American Revolution, last know example was stolen in 1972. Will pound site until mother earth gives up the rest of this beautiful piece!

Have you considered a plan yet to recover the rest? I can only speak for myself, but I would have a lot of trouble with the work/family/life balance after your remarkable find. Lol

Oh i have plan..just need the ground to thaw out and I will grid off a large area with various machines..digging any bleeps at all...talk with landower to strip off 4 inches at a time...i will try everything in my powers to find what I can!
Then return after every ploughing...then continue to dream..

Nothing yet...ground froze up again...storm starting tonight ...but warm rain after that....hope to get out looking for the rest next week!!

My jaw nearly hit the floor when I saw your post! It's not just the holy trail of rev war pieces to dig, it's the holy trail of rev war plates, period! Like you, the only example i have ever seen is a drawing of one. There's no denying what it is, so I'm voting banner. Frickin incredible!!!!
