Took the grandkids to LEGO club at the library after school so I thought I would hunt the library yard. Found $.57 in clad and (2) Wheaties, 1944 and 1950. Working my way back to the truck and the 3030 starts telling me 12/45, 8" down, dig this, dig this. Nice tone, so I thought yahoo, this is going to be SILVER. NOPE, but it was this huge DIAMOND RING, or so I thought. When I looked in the bottom of the hole all I could see is this HUGE diamond, with 3 smaller diamonds on each side. I really didnt even know it was a ring until I got it out. I was just about to go into a HAPPY DANCE (IN PUBLIC). Then I thought to myself, no way can this be real, that is a HUGE DIAMOND. Its very heavy but I couldnt see any markings inside so put it in the pouch to take home and clean up, which I did. Still couldn't find any markings. I was still happy, I didn't come home empty handed. I was hunting in Silver Mode, +3, Fast On, Ferrous Coin. Anytime I can bring home a ring, I am happy and had a good hunt.

Jerry, As long as you had a good day swinging your CTX, nothing else matters. Those "Wheaties" are always fun to find and as for the ring, it's still a nice find either way, now every time you look at it you'll remember how that old adrenalin rush got ya heart pumping and the excitement of the moment, that's what it's all about, getting out there enjoying the outdoors and having fun. Thanks for sharing your settings on your CTX and congrats on your finds, stay safe and H/H... "D"

Jerr, sure looks like the real deal...at that depth, it's got to have some age to it. From what I do see, it is a beaut. Clean it up, polish it up and show us a few blow-ups..would love to see some sharp close-ups...Ddf
