I went to a playground where I grew up and lets just say, it was an interesting day.
The playground is now where a school used to be. I thought it would be a good place to look.

When I washed off my coins this is what I found.

6 pennies
1 nickel
2 dimes
1 quarter
1 dollar coin from Australia
1 half cent from Sierra Leone
1 penny from Bahamas
1 pendant from boiler makers iron ship builders
1 chuckie cheese token
1 1912 5 cent coin.
20 + pop tabs and much more garbage.

I am not sure about any of these coins. This was my 4Th time mding.

I am figuring the coins that are not US are from when McDonald's gave them away a while back.

I will be going back in a few days to look again. [/img]

Hey Toye, welcome to Tnet.
Those are some great finds coming from a playground.
Keep up the posting and the hunting.

Nice variety of coins! Last week I found a Mexican and a Canadian coin at the same playground. Makes you wonder...

Hey Toye, nice finds. I've been doing this since late March & I haven't found any old silver yet, you are doing great. Seems like I always find foreign coins...I expect the Mexican & Canadian ones but some of them are from a long ways away. Exchange students maybe? Welcome to TN by the way...you will find a lot of nice folks here. Sometimes there are so many posts that we can't read them all & then we get behind. I try to read them all but sometimes I'm up till 2:30 in the morning and finally give up cuz there are so many posts. Sometimes my posts don't get a lot of replys either but ya know what? The folks that do reply are real nice, no matter what your finds are. Don't be afraid to post your bad days, we all have em. Thanks for posting.
