Went shed hunting on Sunday, and it was a bust. The place I wanted to go still has 3-4 feet of snow, so tried another place where I found a set of Muley sheds last year, and people have been using dirt bikes off-road to hunt sheds, which is illegal. I hiked three miles and all the gullies I used to hunt shed covered in bike tracks.. I got really disgusted and headed back to the truck, and on my way back I found a really nice 100+ year old blob top soda bottle! Made a crummy day good! IMG_20180318_174824_168.jpg IMG_20180318_174824_165.jpg IMG_20180318_174824_164.jpg IMG_20180318_174824_166.jpg I know this was technically yesterday, but this was the first time I had to post it.....

That's a nice looking Hutchinson you've got there. I don't see too many with the stopper still in it down this way. Cool find.

That is one beautiful bottle! How do you clean the old glass to make it look so pristine? I've never collected bottles before, but with posts I've seen since joining TNet, I've started intentionally looking for them. If I do find some older bottles, I'd like to be able to clean them to be as presentable as yours!

Yeah ! Very nice - and I can boldly say that is closer to 130/140 years old !

Great looking bottle and I was going to say that your estimation was off by at least 50+ yrs. Good eye Argentium

Well....I cheated on the photo....I filled it full of water to get it to look more clear.....!!Haha! It actually has some heavy glass oxidation on it, id have to have it tumbled to get it off I think!

Yep, didn't have time to look it up in my "bottle" book, but I didn't want to be off by too much lol!
