Sovereign finds a deep cross.
I havn't posted anything since May. Been busy. I went to a park near me that I don't think has ever been hunted. At least there is a lot of clad there. I got a nice deep signal and dug and dug and almost gave up when this Religeous pendant came out of the hole. It could be as old as 1884 (year the town was founded) I don't know but its the best one I've found yet. Judging by the size of the trees I'd say the park is over 100 years old. The pendant is about an inch tall and is heavy. Don't know what its made of (maybe pewter). Found lots of clad too but I already dumped it in the jar.
Went to another place and in the back yard of a house next door there where two of the biggest willow trees I've ever seen. they were about 6 ft. thick. With my freshly dug pendant in hand I went to ask permission to hunt around the trees. "Go for It".
I hunted slow expecting to find some old coins but nothing but tractor parts. Oh well, thanks for looking.

Re: Sovereign finds a deep cross.
Hey, I've found 4 or 5 of those crosses this year. Some are sterling, some are pewter. They are catholic crosses. It would be hard to date these crosses because they still make them today.
