As some of you know, last weekend I did some cherry picking at a new found Local Park and came home with 69 clad coins in 3 hours.

Today, I went back to that same park and switched things up a bit. Instead of cherry picking with my Impact, I pulled out the Tesoro Compadre for some beep and dig clad festivities. I set the Discriminator Dial to just above foil but below nickel and pretty much stayed on my knees for 3 hours and 45 minutes Yes, I crawled from one target to the next. Don’t worry, nobody can tell I was ever there.

When it comes to cladding, i throw it all in the same pouch.

Gotta keep em separated! La La La...i know their is a song in there somewhere.

And the final breakdown

The results were 127 coins.
92 Pennies
9 Nickels
14 Dimes
12 Quarters
1 crappy bracelet, 1 key, 1 key fob with some inspirational writing on it and an old lock.

HH Everyone

Wow all those targets in 3 hours! Unless everything is 2 inches deep or less that would have taken me 7 hours. Than again watching me retrieve 5-7 or so inch deep targets and making things look like I had not been there is akin to watching hubcaps rust.[emoji24]

It was closer to 4 hours. This is a park that only goes back to the 1970's. 90% of the targets were 2 inches or less and could be found with my pinpointer. No plug needed. The deepest target was the padlock at around 5 inches.

I dug 126 coins on Saturday, if I had known you only were going to beat me by one coin, I would have tried harder.

Congrats, and yes, I am a bit sore today.

Best of luck to you sir!

Think of it as a Civic Project to rid the park of beer tabs, bottle caps and can slaw. Good luck.

with the rocks that I have here, I added another thick layer of leather to my knee pads to protect my bony knees. part of the fun is separating the spoils and discovering what you really found!
