First time out for 2018! Had knee surgery toward the end of January, cleaned out torn meniscus, Bone spurs, some other floaters, Been a decent recovery but Metal Detecting is a little rough on the knees. Nevertheless I was really excited to get out swinging the coil yesterday. I was rewarded with a really cool piece of local history, a Peekskill Military Academy 1833 Button, superior quality made in England late 1800s to early 1900s. I’ve been looking for one of these in my area for a long time. Also scored a 1941 silver quarter. Amongst the clad were some wheat pennies I have to check the dates someday.
Enjoy the photos, took a picture of the junk pouch, didn’t feel like spreading it out, a lot of shotgun shells and other bullet cartridges and bottle caps.
Glad to be back !!!!
