Happy Easter everyone!

Saturday, T-Netter Mad_Cladder and I took a trip to hunt with wv1978 at one of his War of North Aggression sites. This is a well known site that has been hit hard for years, but wv1978 has been pulling some bullets and even a few nice old coins.

Cladder was the first (and second) to strike with a couple different varieties of CW bullets. He had very good hunts Friday and Saturday! Congrats Bro!

My first good target was a pistol bullet that based on my research may be a .44 Cal Watervliet Arsenal. (I haven’t got any expert opinions on it yet.) It is .75 inches long and 7/16” (.4375) at its widest point. Weight is 14.7 grams.

My next target was a tiny piece of ?silver? that has a shank, but seems quite small to be a button. I’d love to hear some thoughts on if it really is a button or something else. :dontknow:

We decided to take a break from the woods and hit a house that wv1978 has a standing permission. That is where I found the GB Florin, 2 shillings coin. It has lived a rough life but was able to get a positive ID after posting it yesterday. Thanks to those that helped me ID it!

With about an hour before we had to leave we decided to hit the woods one more time and I was able to score a 3 ringer. This is only my 2nd ever and it isn’t smashed like my first one. :hello2:

Group photo. Also found the rivet at the CW site. No idea if it’s period.

Thanks again to wv1978 for sharing his site with us. He’s a good dude and a pleasure to hunt with!

Look what i pulled out of there today:) The site is getting a little thin i'm afraid but still pulling good finds though. I had a lot of fun this weekend, i'm glad y'all made it down. I found 3 of those rivets today too, don't know what they were used for? I like your silver piece you found yesterday, i will try to find out what it is from if nobody here has any ideas. You guys need to come back down soon!

Thanks! I wasn't leaving empty handed today, lol. I was there about 5 hours today. I found that IHP over near the field under a root about 9 inches down, and the 2 bullets close to where you found your 3 ringer yesterday. It's hard pulling anything out now but there has to be more. If you guys come back down to hit those two houses im sure we will find more.

That was a great hunt on sat and Friday wasn’t to shabby either. Scored my first gold ring, 2 mercs, 10wheatbacks, a laxative token and a paycheck token from j.t.plott on Friday. Like bladerunner2019 said sat I scored my first (for sure) civil wars bullets. The sharps was 4-5” and the other was almost a foot under the coil. Also found another bullet that was fired. Thanks a ton to WV1978 for having us and I hope the allergies let up soon. Hey Man. Hope you didn't mind me mentioning some of your find. I tried not to say too much. 8-)

Did you find out the type of the other bullet? (Not the Sharps).

I believe the other bullet Cladder found was a Confederate .54 Nashville Arsenal Bullet (Often Referred to as the .55 Suhl), cool finds! i like finding the rarer bullets.

Wow, that is very cool. How many varieties of bullets would you say that site has produced?

I don’t mind a bit. That actually may allow me to keep my mojo/luck since you brought it up and not me! Lol. I woulda got around to posting it eventually.
I haven’t studied on them bullets much. I’m glad WV1978 is on top of it cause I had no idea. I’m itching to get back to those houses. I’m still excited about them hunts. My kids are here for the next couple nights so I might be free this weekend instead of next. Anyways check out this photo I got of a rejected permission. They shot me down but I had to snap this 092C2A63-65A1-4538-AD01-949D952842FF.jpeg

Y'all need to get back down here when you can so we can hit those houses. Sucks they shot you down at that house, looks promising.

That’s the school. That family owns a few old homes too in the area we chatted 5 of them up on the side of the road. Dano knew some of their deceased kin. They were nice but shot us down.
