Well what a fantastic day !!! sun and silver a plenty, on the spit fire field. A wonderful Roman silver was first to surface. Followed by the face object, and then the hammered silver coins, the top and the bottom ones are portcullis halfpennies, of either Elizabeth I, or James I. Got them soaking in water now, so I can separate them, what a day, guess where I'm going tomorrow :laughing7:.

Hello Westfront, it's Augustus then, thanks for telling me :icon_thumright:. Here's a picture of the stack of hammered coins. Also the little face, looks like the mask of Guy Forks worn by some demonstrators.:laughing7: Robert.

Those are great finds! No coins of that age around here. You're lucky to have such sweet pickings.

Nicely done, and all the best,

Lanny

The are only really 2 good options for the Lead Head & they both include it breaking off from a larger object;
Pilgrims Badge - Most likely.
Late Medieval Toy - These however were mostly 2 sided (50% chance)

That was your best day. I'm very happy with any BC coin as it so rarely happens & normally when it does they are far more worn that that good example.

What a stunning hunt Rob, congrats on the stack of silvers and I haven't seen something like this before posted up.
The 18BC Roman Silver is a very crisp recovery, a real piece of eye candy your day's take is!
"BANNER" actually for the stack of hammered silvers alone. I'm sure this hunt warranted a satisfying pint:occasion14:
