Had a nice 1840s permission today, it was hit before but I made the best of it. Got my 1st powder flask! Also 5 wheats (97fty) 1932 quarter, 43p war nickel (silver 19 fty) a token from Zack Periwinkles arcade, and some other odds and ends. Thanks for looking and hh!! 20180418_174249.jpg 20180418_174235.jpg 20180418_174217.jpg 20180418_174129.jpg 20180418_174105.jpg

Great powder flask with a hunting scene. Reminds me a lot of one I found last year from the same period, 1840ish. Got both sides, but it was smashed flat. Has a dog and a pheasant. Here's mine for comparison sake.

Wow Steve that's Awesome! Very similar too!

I've got a top to a flask and it come out of a school that used to be an orchard. I believe I swept over the rest of the flask but didn't dig it due to how big it was and the fact that i didn't want to make a mess on the field. I should go dig that up and see if it is the rest of the flask or part of the irrigation system...

HH and GL next time out, all!

Now that's a very nice hunt, nothing like getting an awesome relic as the flask. Congrats
