We got out of the car. Had a stock 11 inch coil. I then showed him how to turn it on and set to the Deus Fast mode. First signal rang in at a solid 82 both ways over it . Dug it up and out popped this beauty. On the inside it has teh letters PD

Then i showed Kevin how to sawing the coil and keep it flat over the ground he gets a 94 reading both ways . he digs a 1994 Quarter. TWO holes and TWO good items. Dug a couple more and got foil. Dug a 71 id and got 7/8 's of a penny. You know how they get corroded away ! Then kevin had to go but not bad for a 20 minute park hunt

Funny how sometimes your best find is the first thing right after parking or right before you leave. I bet that guy is hooked now though!

A couple of months back i was showing someone else how to detect and out popped a Union breast plate. I had told that guy that everything we found he could have . That was the first i ever found. I think he could see the tears in my eyes and told me he didn't want it :)

You need to beat your friend Kevin with a shovel if he continues to find stuff that easily.
Yep, just wack him over the head a few times.
Many years ago, I showed a friend how to detect with my old Silver Eagle.
Same thing, turned it on, handed it to him, first pass, 1936 Buffalo.
No biggie, except I hadn't dug a Buffalo yet.
I wacked him over the head with my shovel.
Kudos!
