I went back to the scout camp today and did another 4 and half hours of swinging with the CZ 21. Found another 29 pegs to add to my total, 85 clad coins $6.19 and more lost scout items.
For those of you not familiar with scouts I will explain a little bit about identifying the neckerchief slides. Cub scouts were originally second through fifth grades and all of them wore the slide like the first two in the picture. Later they made a slide for those cubs in the fifth grade known as Webelos (slide number 3). The fourth slide is a recent addition. About 8 years ago they made a slide for all the Cub Scout ranks so a boy gets a new slide every year. This one is a Bear, third grader. And the last slide is a Boy Scout slide for boys ages 11 through 17.
I also found a .36 cal round ball that looks like it might be about the same age as the flat button and large cent I found on Monday.
I found a cob coin as well. Well a copy of one anyway. The cubs get them at the trading post when they have a pirate theme at Camp. I have found a fair number of them in the past.
The watch is in really bad shape but the case is 10k gold filled. (Not worth much but there is a little gold there)
And of course the usual tent pegs. These are the 29 that count from today. I don’t keep track of the pegs from regular camping tents. I only count the large Camp pegs used for the wall tents and dining tarps they use. They stay at camp and the staff will use them to set the tents up for the coming camp season.
