My last couple of kicks at the rusty can for Spring. Best of these last two hunts was a few French finds (Bale seal - Little buckle & 6 Deniers 1710-1712) The bent silver love token was a surprise - often made from very worn Charles II or William III Sixpence. My find of the two 2 days however is the early Scottish military thistle button marked GBF. No confirmation of the ID yet, but one suggestion has been the Glengarry British Fencibles, known as the "Devils Bloodhounds" Hope it turns out to be true as there's a lot of cool factor in that moniker .
All in all it was a great Spring, better than some Falls I've had. Too bad it's over and the fields are planted or will be shortly, but that's how it goes.
