Hello,

greetings from the other side of the great pond! :) Want to show you some watches and ww2 badges I found the last week in a forest near Berlin. The badges were all in one hole and I'm not sure if a German or Russian buried all these things. There is also a pocket watch (with black dial) made for the Wehrmacht.

Why did you blur out sections of the emblems?

In german forums emblems like swastikas are not allowed to show, I'm not sure how it is ruled here.

No issue posting history like that on here, that I'm aware of, seen plenty without problems.

Thanks or sharing . Hard to say who would hide those medals . many reasons why some person would hide them.

All gave some , some gave all. I Lost a family member KIA , in Brest . France 8 / 28/ 1944 .
Seven members of my family served in ETO .
Proud of all servicemen and women this Memorial Day weekend ! Thanks again

Wow, that's some nice finds! They definitely buried it and it is really cool that all watches are in very good condition.

Great stash! My guess is a russian soldier hide this stuff. Unlikely a German had several badges of the same type and a couple of watches is another sign.

Yes, it was! Had several signals one next to another, my detector didn't want stop to ring and I felt having spent one hour at the hole with the badges. It was a really stunning adventure for me.

That is the coolest set of finds I have seen on here in a while. Amazing variety of badges and and watches. Guessing the person was doing scavenging off war fatalities. So no jewelry such as rings found in the stash ?

This is very interesting and unusual - the kind of find that we all dream about. Not just the material value, but the historical value is very rich in what you've found. Thank you for sharing, and congrats on a truly amazing discovery!

Last weekend I visited the site with my new Multi Kruzer, ran it in 14 kHz deep mode and found some more small things. So it really brings "hunted out sites back to life". 8-)

nachsuche_multi_kruzer.jpg

The small watch was between two thin trees, I didn't reach the place with the big NEL Tornado coil but with the narrow Makro coil. Pinpoint mode is also very useful in the forest if you cannot swing the coil.
