Clean the heads side with some soap and water and gently rub it with a toothbrush, then use a strong magnifyer to find out if it's indeed a 1955 cent. Then see if there's a mint mark (doubled die cents have no "D" or "S" mint mark).

If you don't see a very distinct doubling of "1955" and the "IN GOD WE TRUST motto, it's not a rarity. Some very slight doubling can be seen on some 1955 cents, but they're not nearly as valued as the true doubled die cents.

Bill that s still a nice find, doesn't that make 3 wheaties since 8/18? Got me beat. I'll make you a deal......I'll trade you 15 old rusty nails for those 3 wheats :D! Keep swinging!
