You got to remember, the terrain was probably a lot different back then then it is today. Some of the best finds are ouside of the used areas of today. Fantastic finds on the silver!

RD, do you think the spill could have come from the safe being blasted open?
Either way, great way to find 'em. HH

The snap could have been to some kind of change holder that was dropped, and has detiorated away leaving only the snap and the coins that were inside. Great finds, that is one nice pocket full of silver. It is amazing how finds like that make you forget about the mud and the stickers on the way back to the car. If anyone seen you going to back to your car covered with mud and with a huge smile on your face I am sure they thought you had just escaped from the nearest mental institution. Is treasure hunting considered a mental illness? ??? If so, insanity is bliss ;D Again, great finds, I enjoyed the post...Ryan

Nice silver finds! I think Utah hunter got it right, snap from a change purse that rotted away, bet there is another small piece of snap there. HH and congrats, Mike
