ME and my buddy were hitting around a house built in the late 1700s, Didnt get anything but old nails

But came upon this above ground just in the woodline.

Looks like a human arm bone with hand pieces and all

In my state, they say to take them to the hospital in a bag. They will know for sure before you raise the alarm. If they are human, you can take authorities to the spot.

Maybe take ONE. Mark the spot and show them the picture of the others. A thought anyway. IF it was a crime scene, it is old and no DNA will be found there

Fortunately no; whitetail deer bones. Specifically the metacarpal (the long one in the center) and a few phlanges. Below is a sketch of the bone structure of a more primitive species, but it should give you an idea of where they were in the deer.

Paleo you beat me to it. I was a butcher for a long time. Took the meat off of many of those!

Yep, deer. If it was human, the humerus would be shorter, the forearm would consist of the ulna and radius which would be slightly curved, there would be many more carpal and metacarpals, more phalanges and wouldn't look so much like a deer leg ;)
