So the heat wave has broken a bit so I took my granddaughter to the “Wheat Field “, she really wanted to find a wheatie, we were working the backyard for only a few minutes when she scores her first with her compadre a really nice 1925 (shout out to Terry Solomon for the recommendation she loves it), a bit later she yells over she found her first nickel, so I go over to see it and she has a beauty 1943 “s” war nickel!!!
Not wanting her paw paw to look like a slouch I scored a 47 GW and an 58 Rosie and a nice 10kt GF ring along with some clad and another bunch of wheaties.
Late evening she’s says we need to go back and hit that yard so not wanting to disappoint her we launch back out there. Well this time she gets nada just a bunch of nails while I quietly pick up THREE Mercs!! The oldest is a 1928, also in the mix we’re 8 more wheaties and a 1941 Canadian cent. It was a great day!!
