short over night trip - got gold band - 750 = 18k day 1
got celtic silver ring -925 on day 2
got told to get out of the water so hunt was cut short - I got out ready for a fight but turns out
I had a seal right behind me and they did not want a problem - he was feeding - wish I had a pic or
vid of him behind me
was not happy about can parts - they were throw backs by other hunter - met guy yrs ago - he refuses to take them out
sun glasses in great shape - nother plus wearing a mask - got hit - looked down and plucked
them off the bottom...many guys say they break them with their scoops or scratch them bad
fishing net weights were down really deep - so means there is still stuff down there and bracelet was
down around 1 1/2 ft - was a whisper signal

It will come for you - time + talent = treasure
I know for some hunters that don't find much gold or no gold yet it would be great
for others I know - its just an okay day - Ive been detecting for 40+ yrs
and having many fantastic days - its nothing special

Congrats on the treasure bits, mate, and I agree with the frustration for blokes who won't take away the rubbish they dig. It's a service we do for the community and environment and an aid to our reputation... unless someone pulls it and pitches it right back. That's nothing short of littering and lowering our collective reputation.

Congrats again, Casper - class act and class finds! :occasion14:

For anyone that wants to find more gold rings - get into the water
I was mostly a land hunter for my first 20 yrs - now mostly a water hunter my last 20 yrs
believe me your silver & gold jewelry finds will multiply greatly if you start water hunting
check out my albums if youre bored - and that just part of my finds from last 20 yrs
and I know guys that do way better than I do - most are retired and live closer to the water

Yeah , Casper I remember a guy on here years ago - I think he was in the military - stationed off Japan or Korea or something - he was beach hunting with a garret ace 350 i think . The gold finds in Asia were routinely 22K to 24K - he may be archived here , his handle was Crackbadger , dude found insane amounts of High K with precious stones ! Nice rings Man !!

Casper...I found a similar ring in salt water in Massachusetts. I promise you, with some elbow grease and 0000 steel wool, that ring would look great.

I use electrolysis but when you find a lot of it like that - its time consuming - I pretty much leave them as is now
if they are just tarnished I will use a little baking soda on the silver but when they start crusting I don't bother - may hit
with a dremel if I'm bored
