THE LAST SITE I WAS AT DATED FROM 1675-1687, SO I THOUGHT I'D GO BACK IN TIME A LITTLE EARLIER. THIS SITE PREDATES AND IS 1655-1675. THE SENECA MIGRATED EVERY 15 TO 20 YEARS DUE TO HUNTING DEPLETION. THIS SITE HAD A POPULATION OF 1700-2800 AND WAS LOCATED ON ABOUT 12 ACRES. THE JESUITS CAME FROM EUROPE TO PREACH CHRISTIANITY TO THE SENECAS. OVER THE YEARS, I'VE HIT IT PRETTY HARD. THE V3I HAS OUT DONE ITS SELF AGAIN! I GET A KILLER SIGNAL AND IT TELLS ME ITS A RING AT 9 INCHES! THEN IT HAPPENS, OUT COMES, THE PERFECT JESUIT RING!! I JUST SAT ON THE GROUND FOR A MINUTE IN AWE ... PERFECT RING AND I DIDN'T NICK IT WITH THE SHOVEL. THANK YOU PIN POINTER:hello2: I MIGHT HAVE A BROKEN JESUIT CROSS, 4 MUSKET BALLS, MELTED SLAG, LED SEAL, PIECES OF CUT COPPER. TRADE ITEMS INCLUDED COPPER AND BRASS ITEMS THAT WHEN THEY WORE OUT THEY WERE MADE INTO USEFUL THINGS, SUCH AS TRIANGLE POINTS. I LIKE THE ONE THAT LOOKS LIKE A MINIATURE TOMAHAWK! THE LAST THING LOOKS LIKE A BRACELET BUT IT'S ALL TWISTED, BUT BOTH ENDS ARE ROUNDED SO ITS NOT BROKEN! I'M GOING BACK TONIGHT AFTER IT COOLS OFF! I WILL UP DATE LATER! MY BUD SHOWED UP EARLY AND I DIDN'T GET TO POST THIS BEFORE LEAVING, BUT I FOUND ANOTHER RING AND THIS ONE IS THE TWO HANDS CLASPED! HOLY .... TWO JESUIT RINGS IN ONE DAY, YOU WOULD BE LUCKY TO FIND ONE LET ALONE TWO IN A DAY :headbang: 20180711_203814.jpg 20180711_203602.jpg 20180711_203123.jpg

WENT BACK TO THE SENECA SITE THIS MORNING AGAIN, AND FOUND ANOTHER JESUIT RING. THIS ONE
IS BROKEN AND I DID HAPPEN TO FIND THE TOP PIECE OF THE RING. I ALSO FOUND 4 TRIANGLE POINTS
AND A MUSKET BALL.

It great to see the Jesuit stuff that others can see. I see it all the time. But I have never found a ring. Nice find.

That’s an absolute no doubt BANNER hunt! Gold coins fly up there all the time. These are far more special pieces of history. Congrats on these beauties
