went to a new spot metal detecting sunday

the property owner says that eleanor roosevelt use to ride her horse on the property

then i found this sliver art deco brooch

note the great seal at the bottom

this could really be a gift giving to one of the best first lady's this country has ever had
i am waiting for some more information from The Historian of the U.S. Department of State.

Looks like a sweethearts brooch. Loads of these made during both WW's & they come in all types. It was meaningful to the lady the soldier gave it too. They probably had that type of dog. (They always had some kind of regimental insignia, as it showed support to the cause & the regiment)


Seems like too much of a coincidence that it has a Scottish Terrier on it to just be a random find...

Crusader thinks it was mass produced back then and it's just a random find. I'm saying it would be an amazing coincidence finding that brooch at a place Eleanor Roosevelt frequented and it wasn't her brooch.
