Pin 'em and dig 'em
Recent Finds + 2nd large cent
Ok, I guess the soil near my house sucks major a$# because both of the large cent coins I have found can't be read or hardly seen. I used the electrolysis first. It worked to some degree, and then I used the peroxide method with also helped a bit. Then I soaked it in olive oil and it let me see some of the starts lol. The colonial guy is a bit interesting. I almost threw one away about a year ago (this is my 2nd one from the same yard). It has a guy carrying a shoe container and has spring street ct. on it. On the shoe box it says rubberheel. Somebody told me that it was a shoe company around 1880-1900, but who knows. The quarter is just for comparison. The V nickel is 1895 and was found at an old church in downtown louisville. The transportation tag (Louisville Transfer Co "B") was found downtown also, and the pic was the gal and I on vacation in Cedar Point this weekend. Thanks for looking!

How do you find Gold coins? Reply: 'By finding lots of Silver ones..'

Definably tough ground for copper. At least you can still see the vintage somewhere around Matron Head era. Nice finds
