Hello out there, I have been detecting now since the end of June, and so far have found 772 coins in July and 909 in August.

September started out with over 278 so far the first two days, I still am looking for my first silver coin, I don`t know if I`m looking in the right places
or if there just isn`t any around here.

I did get awfully excited when I found my first Indian head penny, and was disappointed in the second, even tho its my oldest one yet.

I can make out 18_7 on it, sure wish it weren`t damaged so I could know the full year.

Today was an odd day, I couldn`t hardly buy a signal the first three hours, and then I got a nickel signal and dug it up.

Then I got another, and another, and another, and they kept on coming until I got 130 of them!! I hit a small park by a football field and
all of a sudden I started getting beeps every few feet, it was amazing, I don`t know if I`ll ever get another day like this, wow!!

Also found an odd item, its the size of a silver dollar, say MPLS 911 on it. 100.jpg 103.jpg 104.jpg 101.jpg 102.jpg

Look closely at the tops of all four digits with a magnifying glass and compare them with images on the internet. There are stylistic and size differences between the numerals for 1867, 1877, 1887, and 1897.

Try making yourself a test bed and bury silver dimes at different depths in your yard to get use to the sound. Finding places that people haven't already cherry picked all the silver is tough. The reeeally old houses that have silver are rare here. I have found it but I have better luck in 1920s-1960s home yards. Less likely its been hit and yards are smaller often.

Nice finds! Just keep hitting those historic spots. If you're finding Indians then silver should be around the corner.
