I agree with Nick, Gary. Scratch or no scratch that is one pretty coin. I am trying to find my first. Thanks for posting.

This won't win me the find of the month award, but it is my first Walking Liberty half-dollar, a 1941. It was only 3 or 4 inches deep near an old sports field.

The bad news is that I scratched the back of it, so now I'll have to go find another one.

Great find. I remember my first and only 1936 SLH, I was surely stoked.

HH and Good Luck

I think for every one you scratch, you have to find three more!! Good Luck and by the way...nice Walker!!

Great find there...scratch or no scratch. One thing for sure, it wasn't doing anybody any good down in the ground! Congrats!!

Scratch, or no scratch, that's a very cool find.

Oh, gosh, forget the scratch! I know you're sad you did it, but look at all the other scratches and wearings that OTHERS did! WOW, you got a keeper! Congrats!!! - Noodle

And just think... it could have stayed hidden under all the debris for soooooo much longer. You did good.

Congratulations on your first Walker!

It seems like a lot of them get scratched, because of their size. I wish I could find one! :D

Nice coin!
