i went back to my 1800s house permission, I have pretty much hunted it out but i still manage to find a few things every time i go there. Some old, some new and some i have no idea. The collectors coin was part of a set that was put out in 1968, I have no idea what the frog was a part of but it seems to be lead. The harmonica reed appears to be old and i have found other civil war relics at this site. The bullet casing is a .25 cal from the US cartridge co. which was founded by Maj Gen Benjamin Butler in 1869 after the Civil War. The furniture hardware and padlock i thought were really cool and i believe they are fairly old. The pin says New Brighton and is from the 1940s. The other thing with the holes and a clip i have no idea. If anyone knows what this is i am really curious.

I think that the harmonica reed is actually out of a squeeze box. I could be wrong though. That last item looks familiar but, I cannot think of where I've seen one.

Really nice day. I'm for some reason thinking the last item is out of an old diesel oil filter. Just my guess. Congrats :icon_thumright:

That last item may be an old hair roller.

I also thought the reed was kind of heavy for a harmonica but wasn't sure. I found it where there was a gazebo in the mid to late 1800s. The original stonework around it is still there.

this was my first thought as well curling iron/hair roller thing

If it is they were some tiny curls. I think the picture is making it look bigger than it actually is. It's about 1-1/2" long and 1/4" round.

This has been a great permission. I've probably been there at least 20 times and i have never gone home disappointed yet. The property owner gave me free reign to hunt anytime i want with no restrictions. Its amazing that i still find as many things as i do after all this time, which makes me wonder how much stuff is missed when you go somewhere and only hunt it once. This property is about 4 acres and i think i could hunt it every day for a month and still not find everything. If i had the time i would start searching it in grids. I started to do that one day and i found a standing liberty in a spot i had gone over a few times before.
