Pretty find BWD. I hope there's an 18k gold ring with a one karat d-flawless stone inside your box!
Adding a little to "Underwonder's" informative post, I Googled; "antique italian copper snuff box" & it led to
a round version that had similar imaging on the side of the box.

The material is smalti glass tile, is what they use for mosaics.

Cool find. Iíve mangled my share of old rouge tins hoping a coin was inside. Your box is a treasure in itself. I would proceed carefully on this one. Maybe even carefully drill a hole in the bottom to inspect whatís inside. Then insert a brass plug (Home Depot specialty hardware section) in the hole. Youíll know whatís inside and still have a perfect box vs potentially crushing a side or dislodging the mosaic. Sometimes old thin brass looks solid, but it is actually very brittle. Good luck!

A little copper box, ornate all around, and with 99% intact majolica glass on the top.
A pill box? Art Deco?..... super old, and super sweet....gotta be the coolest thing Iíve found all year.

Also, itís heavy. Itís sealed shut, and Iím kinda scared to pry it open without Fíing it up.
But the curiosity is killing me.....are there Barbers in there?....or just dirt.
    Stay tuned.

    Thanks for looking!
