Well, I did today! I was going along, kneel,
carve my plug, flip it open, retrieve, repair, next.

I get to this one, flipped it open, caught a glimpse of what was in it, yelped, slammed it back closed,
and sat down, a little bit hard. LOL

This was what I saw:

WOW~2.jpg

I bout dropped my jaw on the ground!
I figured it wasn't really what I thought
but closed it so I could live with it for
a bit. :tongue3:

All I could say was wow!

Anyway, a great Fall walk!

Looks like I'm finally getting to the relics!

Please! Will somebody tell me that there
was an opulent society way back, that
actually used solid gold for things!
This thing is SOLID! Completely non-
magnetic! And this lil thing weighs in
at a whopping NINETY grams! Very
heavy for its size! :tongue3:

Also found this button.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but I think it’s a solid gold draw pull.

Legend has it that in 1890's Cripple Creek, some of the gold mine offices, used gold ingots for paperweights. Cripple Creek had telephone service before New York city. So it might be gold!

Your on a GOLD streak, so what is it, do you even know or is it another one of your mysteries to be revealed later that you love to post so often? Looks like a drawer pull?

Well sir...did you just add to your retirement fund?
You've got your cardio in for the day!
The rest of the finds are not to shabby either! Congrats!

Still lots of quarters, kennedy half, old button. Nice!

Now back to the knob....did you test it? Or are you living the dream a little longer?
If that checks out it would be banner...in more ways than one!

Blingie is mesmerized! He is going to have a hard time hauling that off. Fishy likes it too.

Great walk!

Strange that it has no tarnish, if it's a brass drawer pull I suspect it is modern and has been coated with some sort of clear protective sealant and wasn't buried long enough for it to degrade. Hopefully it's a solid gold somenorother though, that would be much more interesting!

Best of Luck !

the 'Oklahoma seal' button is a modern fashion button, although I don't know what garment they are found on or what company produces or uses them. If you look very closely you will see the word 'Oklahoma' is actually spelled 'Oklanoma'
