The AT Max went deep on this old girl, only about 3% legibility on the reverse “One Dime”
The obverse is smoother than silk.... not even a shadow of an image.
So chances are it’s an early Seated, in circulation until the 1920’s when this permission was built.
Likely the oldest coin I’ve ever beeped, and only the second Seated of my career, the other one is dateless too.:BangHead:

Also squeezed out a modern girly ring, “Loved Daughter” marked 925:headbang:

Thanks for looking!:hello:

I found a silver slick 10 years ago or so , here in Santa Fe - it does not conform to the diameter of any U.S. silvers - my best guess is Spanish silver. I think you have a Seated there but we really can't know ..

Get some silver test acid, rub 1 drop on the slick side, wait 10 seconds, wipe off gently with soft cloth and see if any detail if not then repeat a few more times, this has worked for me and many others about 90% of the time

I would guess 1860-1891 seated dime from the look of the reverse, most probably 1875 or later. It's not earlier than '60 as those coins used a much fatter type on the reverse. Barber reverse is a little plainer looking, I would definitely bet seated on this one.
