Picked up a Garrett AT Pro in January this year and starting to get a little better with it after using a Whites IDX Pro for 15 plus years, this Friday I managed these decent finds. The pendant and necklace are mark sterling, the spoon I think is sterling(?, age?). The spoon stamping has the letters TR, a circle, a 6 pointed star, and an eagle, total weight is 2.57 oz. for both. The Merc was hiding in some roots of a large tree, the spoon and necklace were found in a little strip of woods in a busy town. Sorry the pics aren't the best but any help with the spoons age would be appreciated, thanks for looking!

I’ve found a number of spoons in that style at mid 1800’s sites. I would guess your spoon is 150 years old or more. I believe you can decipher more information based on the stampings as well, but I am not the expert in that area.

Maybe a clearer picture of the hallmarks on the spoon, please?

Thank you all for your replies and thanks niffler for suggesting clearer pics, their not the best pics but I see now it is a C not a O ( TR C a star an eagle).

Ok, I dug some more and the best I can do is that eagle hallmarks seem to be associated with coin silver.
