Took a ride out to the same area I’ve been door knocking and even though I was turned down 3 times today but I did talk to the owners and learned quite a bit of local history. Ended up at a farm field I’ve hit before but decided to follow the old cart path into a small section of woods between fields and ended up finding 2 odd 10’ diameter loose stone bases with massive piles of quahog shells near them, very interesting!! So I decided maybe this was a gathering place for possibly trade or sale of the farms goods that date back to the mid 1700s. I found my first couple of coins along the path which included 3 Indians and a Barber dime, a few musket balls and shotgun shells....then out of nowhere a small 15x15 area was loaded with solid clean signals, the cache of coins consisted of 5 silver dimes-(1892-O, 1899, 1905-S, 1907 barbers, 1873 & 1876-CC Seated Liberties), 1882 shield “5” nickel, large copper(1905 Canadian largie after cleaning up), 1900 V nickel, 18 IHP’s. Don’t worry all the holes were properly filled after digging all the signals in the area, makes it easier to see a pattern. Absolute Best day in the woods with bucket listers galore! I’m ready for a celebratory drink!!

Daaaang....awesome!! Congrats on your persistence, if surely paid off! Been awhile since I saw the results of good, virgin ground. Looks like you have an awesome site, let's hope that's just the tip of the iceberg. Ddf.

Always wanted to have my own banner find, either way it’s a banner day and my best day in my book and I’m happy I could save them!

Way to work it and find that out of the normal spot for a killer day. I agree with above, I'd be working that area again! Congratulations and thanks for sharing.
