Last week I posted about the NEL Tornado coil for the ATP...mainly complaining that ALL of my targets were reading like coins but only being rotted steel screw tops.

I pretty much hunted with it for a couple hours before I put it up and pulled the CTX back out.

Today, I went back to a place that I have hunted for the last 8+ years....Very small, but I've pulled a few barbers and V-nicks but never an IHP.

My main goal was to give the coil a chance again and "Just dig anything deep". Mainly hoping for find an Indian.

I pulled a couple iron bits and then got a scratchy wheat penny signal, bouncing 80-81...but sometimes 87 :icon_scratch:. It was only like 4 inches , so i really didn't have much hope but I plucked out the plug and saw a big shiny coil fall out!

What sucks is I hit it a couple times...somehow I managed to hit the front and the back lol.

It turned out to be a 1909-S Barber Half dollar. Its a little rough, but my first Barber Half!!

I was able to pull a War Nick and Buffalo not to long after, those read right on 53 which seemed normal.

I ended up pulling also some wheats that were reading RIDICULOUS!...one was a 72-75...some were 85's but they were all 10+ easy, and all before 1930.

1919
1924
1928-D
1926

I do have to say this coil is starting to impress me. Last time I used it in that exact same spot, I don't think I found any coins in 2.5 hours I was there.

Patience was the only difference this time and it paid off!

I Also ended up pulling a 1920 Merc and 64 Rosie from another spot with the CTX.

Tilt your head to view the pics :dontknow:...Ive tried to fix it twice.
