I think US cartridge Co was bought out in 1924. However, loaded ammo last a looooong time so it could have been fired anytime. I still have ammo that was my grandfathers from the early 40's and I'm sure they are still functional. Gary

Considering the town I live in was not incorporated until 1916...and the house is not but 20 years old...you would be correct! I did find some coins as well - a bi-centennial half dollar, some pennies, a quarter and a nickel...so to take into effect the age of the house...I would definitely agree with you.
