Had a great time exploring a island near home. It was bigger than I thought but found two foundation sites at the start which took most of my time. I can’t wait to get back there in the early spring to hit it up again and explore it more. There was also some relics and shoe buckles found. Most of the coins found were coppers dated from the 1820’s to 1860’s. The soil wasn’t very kind to most of the coppers and tarnished the silvers up bad. My favourite find was the nice 1881 Canadian five cent piece. Thanks for looking! [emoji16][emoji106]

Deer hunters like it too. Loaded with deer. Guess they are seen swimming out to it all the time. I seen some nice bucks running while I was there! [emoji16][emoji106]

Nope. Last person moved off in the 1940’s. At its peak it had five houses spread out in the 1800’s! [emoji16][emoji106]

As always, I like the coins, but I think the real treasure is that colonial buckle! I would LOVE to find a relic of that quality! Nice job!

Your right but I’ve been going through Vicky silver withdraw so getting my fix was great. Even though it was a very small fix! HaHa

Great hunt. Like others have said that buckle is awesome. I've only found one complete shoe buckle but it's really made me a real fan of them. I've hunted three islands in my short time detecting and it's always a great adventure to go to places like that.

That's awesome that you have an island to hunt. The finds are cool as well. Might be buried treasure there also, LOL!

Did you think you were on Oak Island and you were looking for the Templar Treasure?? Well, you still did great. Congrats on the finds and hope many, many more come out of the ground when you get back there!

I think when the grass is down this spring it may hold some nice finds. By the amount of Victorian provincial coinage i found I’m hoping there might be some New Brunswick silver coins hiding around! [emoji16][emoji106]

Im happy with just the cellar hole islands but I’m glad everyone thinks there’s treasure on oak island because it keeps all the eyes off all the other islands that I think are better. Even if I was a pirate there is a lot of hidden,sheltered,deep/easy digging soil islands that I’d want to bury some treasure on! [emoji16][emoji106]
