Most of my hunt was spent around a large old oak tree where I found a holed seated dime last year. As hard as I tried I couldn't find anything old around that tree, so I headed off to greener pastures.
My next stop was at some curb strips located along some early 1920's house sites. I detected the curb strips until I got permission from a girl to do her yard. Right off the bat in the front yard, I found a couple of Mercury Dimes.
Wanting to give my Omega 8000 V6 some runtime, I decided to switch detectors after finding those 2 silver coins. The MMK my be an excellent relic detector, but it can't beat the Omega when it comes to finding coins. It's a real coin hound! It lit up the ground and found a bunch of clad coins and 7 wheat pennies.
The weather was wonderful and I had a great time. I hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving.
