It’s been a while since I’ve gotten out with da crew for a good hunt. All together we scored some real nice stuff: 8 coppers, Spanish silver, seated silver, and some trimes. But I’ll just speak of my hunt since those other guys rarely post on Tnet.

Here’s the crew today ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1542898256.089599.jpg

Although EastCoastDiggler’s spot, the site we went to is aptly named Basstard Meaddows. It’s a place that’s loaded with goodies if you’re willing to do the work. All the easy targets are gone so you need to get into the thorns, mud, and perform landscaping duties to get the good stuff.

Well, I landed some buttons and a cool screw piece as well. I’ll try and clean those up tonight. ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1542850069.250851.jpg

Also a cool button, maybe 8 or 9mm, with a liberty cap on it. I do t think it’s 18th century but rather a bit later. Perhaps a copy of the obv. of a Mexican real. Dunno

Overall an excellent day. Had a great time with EastCoastHumper, Bartek and Treblehunter.

Happy Thanksgiving

Steve

Oh, and I took a little video, but the money shot had bad light. It was of the seated dime dig...

Just added:

Cuff button, early 19th century w/Phrygian cap.
ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1542907314.764344.jpg
The rest of the non-ferrous. Flat buttons ca. 1810-1830

Furniture hardware, perhaps a drawer pull because of the thread. I’ve seen identical thread on other pulls. Thoughts??

That and "some trimes" you say?
Way to make the rest of us feel like total time wasters.
Holy Crap.

I've found silver from 3 foreign countries but not 1 trime to date.

Great job!

I’ll just piggy back your post Steve, heres’s my most interesting find: a star cut trime (1.5 cents?)

I think it’s a secret weapon (Chinese star) used in the other 1860’s Great War: squirrels vs. chipmunks. Squirrels won that war, in part due to advanced weaponry [emoji6]

I really had a blast, you know I did end up seeing some deer after all. I found a UFO copper, Indian and 4 buttons. My fat ass can't take hunting in the deep woods too long. I've got a great woods site for us to tear up next week. Charlie is a great host. I'm glad I got to spend time with him and sorry I missed the photo. Nice finds again buddy, you are one with the detector, Bart really did point me in the right spot, I found all those buttons in one small area, then of course found the copper on the way back to the truck

Look who's back when I'm about to pack my detector for the long winter! Congrats on the great finds man. Hopefully next spring you won't sacrifice your detecting season and we'll be able to see some awesome finds you usually dig.
Just stay away from any construction tools or large boats for a while :laughing7:

Find of the day buddy. Those planchets are so thin that it must have been filed?

Great hunt Scrappy! Hard to beat a trime in my book. I've only found one.
It's also hard to beat a day with your Buddy's. Good finds are a bonus. Glad to see you post. [emoji482]
