It’s been a while since I’ve gotten out with da crew for a good hunt. All together we scored some real nice stuff: 8 coppers, Spanish silver, seated silver, and some trimes. But I’ll just speak of my hunt since those other guys rarely post on Tnet.
Here’s the crew today
Although EastCoastDiggler’s spot, the site we went to is aptly named Basstard Meaddows. It’s a place that’s loaded with goodies if you’re willing to do the work. All the easy targets are gone so you need to get into the thorns, mud, and perform landscaping duties to get the good stuff.
Well, I landed some buttons and a cool screw piece as well. I’ll try and clean those up tonight.
Also a cool button, maybe 8 or 9mm, with a liberty cap on it. I do t think it’s 18th century but rather a bit later. Perhaps a copy of the obv. of a Mexican real. Dunno
Overall an excellent day. Had a great time with EastCoastHumper, Bartek and Treblehunter.

Oh, and I took a little video, but the money shot had bad light. It was of the seated dime dig...
Just added:
Cuff button, early 19th century w/Phrygian cap.
The rest of the non-ferrous. Flat buttons ca. 1810-1830
Furniture hardware, perhaps a drawer pull because of the thread. I’ve seen identical thread on other pulls. Thoughts??
