Dave, congrats on your first Barber Quarter! My first one came out of Illinois too. It was in a small forest next to the golf course where they held the Western Open. Think it was called Cog Hill.

Nice! I still remember my first(and only) barber quarter back in July of 2017. It was about 6 inches deep in a yard in Alpena, mi. The date was 1899. No mint mark.
