Hello all! I am very new to this site but I recently bought a house in St. Louis MO. I found 100's of vintage magazine (multiple publications) in VERY good condition.
Do these have any worth to them? They are all organized and seem to be full sets of each year. A lot form the 60's 70's and 80'. Any advice or help would be greatly appreciated.

Publications include:
Long John Lathham's Lost Treasure
Treasure Hunting Annual
lost treasure
Treasures Found!
and a few more

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to T'net. I'd check epay. Do an advanced search for sold items. That will give you a starting point as to what you can get. I'd think they'd have some value but I'd read em before I sold em. But it might give you the fever. Good luck.

Welcome !

Well I'd Guess that Yard has been Heavily Hunted !
Nice Deal though on The Mags

As mentioned above Check EBay for Prices Etc.

When I was Buying it Seemed Everyone was Buying.
Was Necessary to Snipe To get what I needed.

Shortly after I Stopped, I noticed No One was Bidding on them Anymore.

Been a Few Years

I'd bet that there's a better than average chance that the person who collected those magazines may have buried or hidden some treasure of his own on the property or in the house. If you can check records and get an idea of who lived there, then determine if they are deceased and if so, figure out if it was sudden, then I'd say the hunt is on!

Very cool. Your posting reminded me about my own stash of treasure mags I bought as a kid in the early 70's. I will have to see what shape they are these days when I visit my parents place at Christmas.

I also had bought some mags that featured articles on ghost towns and frontier stories from the old west. I would be interested in what kind of value some of the Tnet members above place on some of these magazines.

I'll spread them all out this weekend and get some photos up ASAP.
