Burgess was G. H. Burgess; as noted in The Era Druggiest Directory of 1911 (15th Edition) as found on page 146 (under Waxhaw) here:

Burgess lived at 201 McKibben Street after 1910. He was know as a physician and editorof the Waxhaw Enterprise; a local newspaper.
