Found a bunch of lead today including about 10 musket balls. During clean-up I noticed something imprinted on a piece of brass that I dug and had in trash section of pouch. Crossed pistols ... cool! Looks like it's a section of a powder flask for a 1849 Colt pocket revolver. Included a picture of what it probably looked like before getting "trashed".

Also found a pretty unique suspender clip. It has a date on top of 1872.

No coins but still some fun stuff.

Great find! I would love to dig a piece of military history like that, unfortunately, there's a huge shortage of that stuff around here. The brass, though folded up, seems to be in very good condition. The suspender clip is very cool too, always great to find something with a date on it.
