Got to get out today for hunt dug a lot of junk and square nails but was having the best hunt for me in lot of years. Back knees and arms were hurting very cold in the 50's high today barely in the 60's. I found a nice tootsie toy car, two WW II shirt buttons, mouth harp reed, two keys, brass tiger emblem off maybe furniture, blue marble, 1944 silver quarter, unbelievable 1937 buffalo nickel, and a Confederate Veteran medal from 1911 Confederate reunion in Little Rock. I thought I had a 20 dollar gold piece when it fell out of the plug still the best I have found in very long time.

I searched Google and found QUESTION: In a small box of coins that I bought, I found a bronze coin/medal, slightly bigger than a half dollar, that has a bust of Robert E. Lee surrounded by “REUNION UNITED CONFEDERATE VETERANS / MAY 15-18, 1911 / GEN. R. E. LEE / LITTLE ROCK, ARK”.... This is a write-up about the Reunion, etc. and continues with "..."...Just like the GAR (Grand Army of the Republic), the Confederate veterans of the Civil War held annual reunions. The 21st reunion of the United Confederate Veterans took place in Little Rock, Arkansas, on May 16-18, 1911. Congrats on the Confederate veterans medal. Those guys were getting up in years in 1911.

That confederate medal is a bucket list find for sure! I sure wouldn't want to have put that tag on that tiger! LOL

pretty darn awesome hunt in so many ways. I can easily see the initial excitement but heck, it is still a very awesome find with very high cool factor. I'd be super stoked to find that medal. congrats
